Elton John: The Yellow Brick Road Tour
Hope Estate: 11th January and Sunday 12th January 2020.
Elton John will perform in the Hunter Valley in 2020 in what is billed as his most extensive tour of Australia and New Zealand in almost 50 years of touring here.
The three-year global Farewell Yellow Brick Road is expected to be the curtain call for the legendary performer in Australia, and from touring. Elton John’s amazing career has included 196 concerts in Australia to 1.5 million fans. During that time he has visited the Hunter for several performances, including a 2007 vineyard show and a Hope Estate performance in 2015.
Featuring images and videos from throughout his five decades performing, the show is expected to offer a rare and intimate glimpse into the performer’s life.
“I always love coming back to Australia,” John said in a statement. “Ever since my first visit in 1971 it has held a very special place in my heart. I plan to bring to my final tour the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades … it’s the most produced and fantastic show I’ve ever done.”
“I want to go out with a bang.”
